Searching something irritates right….that too if we forgot where we have kept it….it’s really very worse. But you know.. the search will become more comfortable and interesting with the Google console search for keyword, WebPages, device details, and much more with amazing customized dates. Google search results…Fantastic!! There are lot of things we could discover from it without moving or going anywhere. Let me tell you in detail what I have discovered from search results in Google Console. This type of search results are the magic wand behind in building and supporting digital marketing. Search results is available as one of the sub menus in Performance category of the Google search console menu on the left panel of the Google console dashboard. When I click on the search results I could see a complete and detailed views of click, impressions, the same is available as graphical representation too..average CTR, average position, queries, pages, countries, devices, search appearance and dates are available. You may confuse what to do with these menus and options, how to work with and all. Filters are the added advantage in this page. Let me explain in detail about each option available. Clicks: Click is an event done by a visitor on the website. Clicks tells us how active the visitor on the website. It is important to know the difference between click and impression because it will make difference when we use Pay-per-click campaign. Impressions: Impression is generated every time when a webpage is loaded and viewed by a visitor. Normally impression count will be greater than the click count. (Average) CTR: The term CTR is Click-through Rate. It is used to measure the ration of clicks to impression of the website. CTR can be measured by dividing the total number of clicks by total number of impressions. Say for example, clicks: 25, impression: 1000 CTR = Total clicks / Total impression i.e 25/1000 x 100 = 2.5 % What is the use of CTR ? Why to calculate this? Too many question arises right. I say CTR is an important value to be calculated. CTR with high value is considered to be effective at grabbing the attention of visitors. A low CTR value means the improvement and consideration are needed for the website. (Average) Position: Position is calculated for Google Search Results. Average position is the numerical order in which Google displays a URL in search results. This “Position” is calculated from top to bottom of the page. I hope the basic terms are somewhat clear now. Let us see how to group and apply filter for the data. Herewith I share certain interesting facts about it. Let’s explore!!! Grouping data by “Queries”: We can group the data by choosing “queries” present at the second half of the search results page. It shows the metrics for different keywords. Say for example if I give the keyword “international school” this will allow to see how many clicks, impressions for the URL is getting for this specific keyword. Grouping data by “Pages”: We can group the data by “Pages” present next to Queries option. It gives all the URL of the webpage along with clicks and impressions. It will help us to find which are all the pages viewed and clicked by the visitor most. This will again help us to improve the content, images, video of the webpages of our site. Grouping data by “Countries”: We can group the data by “Countries”, this will show how many clicks and impressions we are getting from a particular country. Say for example 87 clicks and 3258 impressions from US, 58 clicks and 1698 impressions from Mexico. Grouping data by “Devices”: We can group the data by “Devices”, this will show how many clicks and impressions we are getting from different devices like desktop, tablet, laptop, mobile phones, etc., This feature will help to find how user friendly is our website with all the available devices. Grouping data by “Search appearance”: We can group the data by “Search appearance”, this will show how many clicks and impressions we are getting based on “how it show up in search?” Say for example, 50 clicks from web light results. Now it’s time to know about filters and it’s usage. Filter option is used to narrow down the search results. This option is available at the top of the page. Filtering data by “Search type”: This is the first available type of filter to search specified type of data. It has two tabs namely Filter and Compare. Under filter it has Web, image, video, news options along with two buttons ‘Apply’ and ‘Cancel’. Filtering data by “Date”: This is the second available type of filter where we can extract the data date wise by specifying a date range. Customized date range is also available for a flexible data extraction. This may help us to find the traffic of visitors to the website time to time and also to find the reason for peak traffic as well as low. ‘+ New’: The above search type and date are the visible filter options available at the top of the search result page whereas there is a ‘+ New’ option to add more filters along with it. If we click on ‘+ New’ it will display the parameters like query, pages, countries, device, and search appearance. As we know these parameters are already available on the search result page, what is new about it?. Yes there is something special that the filter with its respective name is used to extract the specified data out of the entire search result. Let us take a detailed look on it. Filtering data by “Query”: It helps us to see how we have ranked for a particular keyword in Google search. If we select ‘Query’ it will display Queries containing, Queries not containing, Exact query, and Custom. Select any one of the above options and give the keyword, it will display the narrowed search result along with the clicks and
Simply, Wow…The Google Search Operators
It is really amazing to know that “We could command Google.” Awesome, right? Yes…it is. Google has its own operators through which we could command Google to do certain searches. Wow…the Google search operators!! Searching in Google without any idea or any hint does not work out, since it is all about finding a nail/pin in the ocean. Definitely this type of search goes in vain. There are certain advanced operators available in Google which help a lot in finding backlinks, to do optimization and to support SEO in the booming arena of digital marketing. Here are a few Google search operators and their usages along with an example. Cache This operator is used to find the most recent cache of a specified webpage, and also used to identify when a page was last crawled. Example: cache:websitename.com Allintext This operator helps us to find whether all the terms that we look for show up in the text of that page. It won’t give accurate results because it won’t look for text that appears close together on the page. Example:allintext:content social links Intext This operator is used to find terms showing up on the webpage, such as the title, the page itself, or the URL. Example:word one intext: other term Inposttitle This operator is used to find blogs with certain search terms in the blog title. Example:inposttitle:weight loss goals Allintitle This operator is used to find blogs that match the content you are writing about. It is used to research what others are doing for the particular title. We could compare to make sure that our content has a higher quality. Example:allintitle:how to write content for SEO Intitle This operator helps us to find more targeted results for specific search phrases. Example: intitle:drawing with micron pens Allinurl This operator allows finding pages with your requested search terms within the URL on internal search pages. Example: allinurl:amazon drawing tablet The above command/operator will bring up all the internal URLs on Amazon.com that have the terms “drawing tablet.” Inurl This is useful to find sites with strong on-page optimization for the topics you are researching. It is used to find pages on a site that has your targeted search term in the URL and a second term in content on a website. Example:inurl:drawing portraits Allinanchor This is used to perform research on pages that have all terms after “inanchor:” in anchor text linking back to the page. Example:allinanchor: “how to draw anime” Inanchor It is used for identifying pages with inbound links which contain specified anchor text in them. Only data is sampled and it doesn’t provide accurate global results. Example:inanchor: “digital painting” Filetype This operator is used to find images that only fall under a specific file type. To narrow research on infographics or to see some images, this could be used. Example:site:domainname.com filetype:txt – inurl:robots.txt This will help to find files on your site that were indexed by Google but will exclude robots.txt from appearing in the search results. Around() This operator is used to narrow the search result and provides a great way for finding search results where two or more terms appear on the page mentioned as a number within parentheses. Example use:digital drawing AROUND(2) tools Quotes (“word”) This will help to find results that are exact match results, rather than the broad results you will get with standard search. Example use:“search term 1” Site: This is used to find specific results from a single website. Example: “site:searchenginejournal.com 404 errors” Related: If you’re in a situation where you need results that have more than one website with similar content to a site you are familiar with, then use the following: “related:domainname.com” Info: This is used to find information related to the domain that you are searching for. It is also used to find domain text on-page, similar on-site pages, and a website’s cache. Example:“info:domainname.com” @ / # This @ symbol is used to restrict your search to social media. And # symbol is used to search hashtag text on Google. Example: mangoes@facebook Or This operator helps you search for pages that have one word or the other. Example: digital drawing OR digital painting Exclude Words: (-) The minus sign is used to exclude certain words in search results and also called an exclusion symbol. Example:“content marketing –businessinsider.com” Add words: (+) A plus sign is used to add words that you want to be included in the search results. Example: “content marketing + SEO” Wildcard: (*) Use an asterisk symbol as a wildcard to represent a space that could be filled by anything. Example: “Top * ranking factors” Many of the above Google search operators can help to perform targeted, useful research on content. If it’s a specific search, then these search operators will be your friend when it comes to finding content ideas.
What’s that about a great UX?
What do you think are good aspects of a website’s user experience (UX)? The overall features of the site, time that is taken by the page to load, or navigating within the page? Most likely, all of it. Now, web forms are also a part of user experience; the accessibility, ease of use, and convenience of the user are mainly kept in mind. What is form UX? Webform user experience is the designer focusing on the aspect of the visitor interacting with every part of the form. A UX form successfully ensures that it helps boost conversions. A UX form helps the users in the easy accessibility and ease of use. Why is UX important? A web form collects needed personal information from the user to make it easier for designers to connect with the users. This information collected from users includes email addresses and payment details for reference. What if the user has difficulties in filling out the form? There are several criteria to be kept in mind while creating a UX form. This is important because it makes a good impression on the visitors about our website and to bring in more, and give them a positive experience. The usability of the UX form is that users can reach out easily and finish the goals easier and faster. A user must be able to feel comfortable while filling out a web form and this should have easy access for all kinds of users. A good UX means one which has good accessibility and usability. To keep in touch with a user a great UX is a must. Guidelines for UX Form 1. Layout of the form Everything, all information that is to be collected should be within a column. That means your form field layout is to put them in a single column and not make multiple columns and rows. This makes it easy for users who want to switch quickly as they can foresee what is asked. The important aspect of user experience(UX) is the ease of using it. Therefore, we use the simple single column. 2.Constraints must be provided Think, suppose you are filling up a form for an online interview, and you have been questioned why you should be hired… You may have a very short explanation or a too-long one; it’s up to the user how they respond to it. To make it simpler, word limits should be provided to avoid unnecessary confusion among users. 3. Giving autofill and autocorrect options Take the example of filling your country or state on a form; you might have noticed on most of the forms there will be autofill when you start typing your first letter of the country or state name. Auto-fills even happen if you provide the same information asked on your previous forms of the browser, and autocorrect helps users in rectifying their errors even before they submit their forms, which would help them from further processing and redoing it. If you take a situation where you are asked to fill in your phone number and you put it incorrectly, your number is autocorrected from your last filled forms. Both features greatly enhance UX (user experience) because they make it simpler and easier. This provides correct information and also saves time for the user from typing it each time. 4.Mobile-friendly design People who use their PCs and laptops to browse have gradually decreased in numbers. After the evolution of this present technology where everything is on your smartphone or tablet, things must be made mobile-friendly to encourage more users and make it easier for them to fill out forms. Without the feature enabling it for mobile phones, it can’t be run on those devices. Without a mobile-friendly setup, the conversation with the user cannot be boosted up. This can even bring you great loss if it isn’t set up; in this technological world a non-mobile-friendly UX form is such a great loss for the producers. 5.Inline field labels and error messages Inline field labels help in showing the label neat and clean so that the user can easily locate it. They make it easy for the user to find which label belongs to which one, and it avoids the confusion of selecting the wrong boxes for wrong labels. Inline error messages help users to correct mistakes at the time of filling the form, and avoid any future redoing processes. For example, if you’re typing an improper mail address or an improper password for a proper mail address, there is an inline error message notification that doesn’t allow you to submit the form without proper corrections made. 6. Showing which is required to be filled and which is optional While filling out a web form you will definitely have optional labels and required labels. This makes it easier for the users to identify what’s important and what’s not. A small symbol on your label will make it easier for the user to know what’s required. If these marks aren’t put up then users would have to submit and resubmit forms checking for the required ones. So, to make it simpler this should be followed. 7.Provide action buttons Provide an action button indicating whether the user must fill out the next page of the form or submit it. You must provide them with proper information through your action buttons which helps them to move one further up along the process. If you want to fill the next page of the multiform you must provide the users with a move- to-next action button and when it’s completed they must be provided with a submit-form action button. 8. Creation of multi-step forms if necessary A multi-step form must be created in order to make it easier for the user to identify and fill it correctly, and with patience. A multi-step form provides 4 or more forms within a form and also adds shortcuts within the main form for easy navigation. Think you are filling up an online
Know more about UX Design
A user experience (UX) doesn’t combine in it a single meaning; it has various dimensions combined in it like the visual design, interactive design, and information architecture. Your way of interacting with the users increases productivity and customer satisfaction. This mainly focuses on the users’ experience on using the company’s product; the main point which a user designer must focus on is to check on the best experience the users get, and in selling the product with the interactive content and reach. Let’s know why a user should get a good user experience UX is very much important because it fulfills the user’s needs. It also brings a positive exposure for the user which would, in turn, bring in them loyalty towards the brand or product. Everybody has, of course, at some point or the other, been to a website and gotten frustrated searching for information or what they need. If it’s difficult, this in turn, leads to poor user experience. The poor user experience would lead to taking more time in finishing the task, or the user may completely lose confidence in the product. If the user gets a meaningful experience, this in turn, helps in the success of the product. 15 practices to improve the user experience ➥RWD – Responsive web development Implementing an RWD is very important for the improvement of the user experience. Creating a good or even best experience for the user is important. Navigation, scrolling, panning, and reading around in the website should feel easier so that they don’t need to stress on searching for everything. This applies to all types of devices; mobile phones, laptops, and PCs too. Mobile users should be able to work just as easily as they do on laptops or PCs. Every feature should also be present on the mobile screen and should easily be able to be located and work. This should apply to all the devices which are said to be good RWD. ➥ Interviewing the active users A pop-up notification is sent to a regularly active user and interviews them regarding how the users benefit from using the application. This would help in specific parts that need to be marked, changed, and improved. For these purposes, Mixpanels are being used. These interviews will help the designers to improve by getting valuable feedback from the users rather than approximately predicting them through graphs and numbers. ➥Making smaller visual span This should be improved to decrease the eye movement of the users; it would be difficult to read with the neck stressing on it. So, it should be made between 650-750px. When readers start using small eye movements, it will, in turn, increase the average stay time of the user. ➥ Testing and monitoring the users steadily When we get to monitor the user’s approach to the design, designers will get to know what exactly a user’s need is. This would help the designers to create design in such a way that they fulfill the user’s needs. Inspectlet is one such example of a website monitor. ➥ Consultative approach to make sure that we improve the users’ experience (UX) This consultative approach depends on the skill level of the user; if a user directly approaches a product and buys it that’s easier. Some users may need to have some question & answer sessions to come to a final decision. So, to approach any type of user, we must be ready with the technical information that will be required for the sales process. ➥Customer surveys Maintaining persistent communication with the customer service crew and the tech team is the most important work that must be done to keep a constant good relationship with the customer. A query received but not sent to the tech team and not being resolved is a mess and should be kept in mind to improve the users’ experience(UX). Work must be split up and done on time. ➥ Designing a communicational setup For example, making easy communicable language for the communication with the users and maintaining a conversational tone helps in improving users’ experience(UX), and using explainable pictures can help a lot in providing the users’ the information in a way that would be easier for them to understand. Communicating in native language would increase the users’ expectation in using our websites. ➥ Offering valuable old-fashioned testing To provide users with valuable information and credits through gift cards to spend time on their website, reading for more than 30 minutes. This is an old-fashioned system that helps users get good credits and benefits, and people get knowledge on that. This trend will bring in more users, benefiting us and also, in turn, giving them credits. ➥Calls to action button This helps in having direct communication with the user through the calls to action button; a user must get this button on the website page anywhere so that they can approach whenever they are stuck while making a decision. This would make the users feel comfortable when they are stuck halfway through rather than leaving without any information they need. ➥ Be precise A page must be designed clean and neat, and must contain only information that is mandatorily to be up on the page; other unnecessary information filled up on the page should be avoided to prevent it from being messy. Giving crisp and clear information that can thoroughly explain the whole process in short is the practice that must be followed to give a better user experience (UX). ➥To provide instant support to users Crazyegg; this website shares the users’ visiting pages and what they search for. It provides instant information and support to the users, which helps in having constant communication and a relationship with them. This improves the users’ experience (UX). ➥ Socialize To connect with the users through various social media platforms, we provide each of our social media page links to the users every time to make them know about this and get good interaction and communication with

By using this, you can track the performance of team members and assign tasks to them manually or by automating it. All important data is at your fingertips and enables team cohesion. Lead scoring and win probability is another useful feature provided by ActiveCampaign. In order to determine whether they will become a long-lasting customer, the win probability uses machine learning to determine the chances of them converting into one. In the next section, I will explain lead scoring in detail since it’s an integral part of marketing automation. Lead Scoring Lead scoring in ActiveCampaign empowers marketing and sales teams to identify the most likely prospects by assigning points for interactions with contacts. Lead scoring in ActiveCampaign can be broken down into two types: Deal scoring and Contact scoring. Using Deal Scores in sales pipelines, it is possible to assign a numerical value to open deals. A deal’s nurture level gives a salesperson an idea of how pressing a deal is, so he or she can prioritize it for follow-up and closure. This is different from Contact Scores, which are assigned to email contacts such as subscribers and downloaders of resources. In order to determine the most qualified leads, marketers should identify the most engaged contacts. There are many different factors that can be used to assign points and create specific rules in ActiveCampaign such as page views, purchases, download of resources, opening of emails, and links clicked. Analytics and Reporting Campaign performance can be analyzed and optimized with ActiveCampaign’s numerous reporting options. In addition to campaigns, automated reports, goal reports, deal reports, etc., it offers a wide range of reports. Your automation is listed under the Report tab, along with the number of people who have interacted with it and how many have completed it. Additionally, it shows open rates by day and hour. This allows you to adjust the time-frequency of emails according
Software testing – An introduction
I believe that this article will give you a good understanding about software testing even if you are from a non-IT industry. First, let me tell you from the base, what software is and then, what testing is. A software is a program/set of programs enabling a computer to do the given task. For example, when we are done with the wish list of our shopping and we are about to do payment, we get a computerized bill for the same. Who generates the bill? Obviously, it is a computer, right. Of course not. It is a software merely developed to serve the purpose of bill generation by calculating ‘n’ number of customer products available at different rates with ease, time saving, and perfect stock maintenance concept. So, the overall purpose of the software is to satisfy the customer’s as well as the vendor’s needs. It is notable that the manual work is done by a software with the help of a computer and not by the computer. The software instructs the computer to do the given task. This set of instructions, for example, billing the products includes required arithmetic operations like addition, multiplication, subtraction for some offers or discounts that are designed or built into a programming language and which can be understood by a computer. Thus, the computer performs the given task (bill generation) as per the instructions (arithmetic operations) of the program (software) by satisfying vendors and customers. I hope it is clear what a software is… and its purpose of development. What is testing then…when do we do this testing…? maybe after the launch of the software…or before or after a month or two of the software development…when does testing take place exactly…? I can see that so many questions like these are scrolling through your mind. Here I am, to tell you in detail. Testing, in general, means some diagnoses. Yes, it is something similar to a blood test. What is a blood test recommended for? Just to identify the levels of certain components of blood, some infection, and existence of infection causing germs/microbes? The purpose of the blood test is to get a remedy to recover back to normal. The same for testing the software. Testing is very much required for a software to detect the errors (bugs), occurrence of some malfunctions, to find any drawbacks in its performance. The purpose of testing is to make the software error-free and to recover the software to function normally. This testing must be performed before the launch of the software. The vital notion of testing is to deliver error-free software. Software/website testing has a few basic steps to be performed in order to make it complete and professional. Since we are in a digital world it is must to know such things. Software testing techniques are more or less similar for website testing too. Website testing techniques include the following: Functional testingUsability testingInterface testingDatabase testingCompatibility testingPerformance testingSecurity testing Functional testing: It is a process to test each and every feature of the website or a software. Manual testing and automated testing tools are available to perform this test. The web-based testing activities include testing all the links like internal links, external links, mail to links, etc. Form testing includes form readability, menus, buttons, field validation, data input and retrieval, display of messages, mandatory field entry, performance of form as expected, etc. Cookies are the small temporary files used by the website to remember the active user sessions. That is why it is not needed to log in each and every time when we visit a website. Cookie testing is required to check whether active user sessions are created and deleted (session expires after a particular time duration and asks for login credentials again). Work flow testing checks for the flow of work (connectivity) which takes users to a series of webpages. HTML and CSS testing check for syntax errors and readable colour schemes. QTP and Selenium are the available tools to perform this functional testing. Usability testing: It is a vital test which checks for the user friendliness, quality content, and convenient navigation from one page to another in the application (software/website). Navigation test checks that all the available menus, buttons, links to different webpages of the site are visible and consistent on all the pages. Content test check is for spelling, grammatical errors and “alt txt” for images. Chalkmark and Clicktale are the available tools to perform the usability test. Interface testing: It is one of the required test techniques which checks for the proper communication between the application and the data server. Interface connects the application with the data server and all the user communication. Data can be stored and retrieved from the application to the data server and vice versa only through the interface. Say, for example, browser. Interface testing checks for the following: To make sure that the user does not encounter any problem when they use the application/software/website.To know about which part of the application is used most by the users, say, for example, online payment page, product purchase page, etc.To check for the security requirements when communication happens between the systems (front end and back end).To check whether the interface can display any error messages to the user or provide any solution/intimation about network issues that happen between an application and data serverAlertfox, Ranorex are the tools used to perform this test. Database testing It is very important to do database testing since all the user data and product details are to be stored here. Database testing includes: Test for the display of errors while executing queries.Checking that the accuracy and reliability of data is maintained while creating, updating or deleting data in the database.Test for the response time of queries.Testing that data retrieved from the database is displayed accurately in the application.QTP and Selenium are the tools used to do this test. Compatibility testing Compatibility testing makes sure that the web application displays correctly across different devices, across
